    This comprehensive programme is intended to equip trainers with the knowledge, skills and competencies to deliver quality training for the ECCE sector. The programme has been specifically developed by Early Childhood Ireland in conjunction with City & Guilds and tailored for trainers working in the Early Years sector.

    Content

    Programme content will include:

    • Principles of adult teaching and learning
    • Identifying learning needs
    • Planning, preparing and delivering learning programmes
    • Assessment/Evaluation of learning
    • Pedagogical practice

    Requirements

    • Hold a Level 7 or higher qualification in Early Years studies
    • May already hold a FETAC Level 6 Module Train the Trainer Minor Award
    • Have minimum 2 years’ experience working in the Early Years sector
    • Engage in teaching practice for the duration of the programme
    • Commit to delivering (minimum 15 hours [paid] training) for Early Childhood Ireland on completion of the programme
    • Attend for interview as part of the application process
