KLC International Institute (KLCII) is one of the few institutions appointed by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) to offer the ES WSQ Chinese Workplace Literacy (CWPL) - Business Chinese programme to adult learners.
Course Objectives
The worldwide importance and influence of China continues to rise, with the country predicted to have the largest economy in world by around 2016. Proficiency in Mandarin could open doors and reveal new opportunities, and offer you an advantage in business and personal life.
This course will equip you with the necessary level of proficiency in the Chinese Language to use Mandarin in both work and social settings. The course will guide you toward developing both conversational and written skills in the language.
Course Overview
The CWPL programme adopts a modular structure approach as shown in the table below. It creates the flexibility for training provides to bundle and customize training curriculum according to the market needs.
Assessment
- Allocation is based on training recommendation from the BCT placement test.
- Non-Chinese who have not studied Chinese before and those with Primary 3 and below Chinese language proficiency are not required to sit for the BCT placement test before enrolment.
- At least 18 years and above
Award of Certificate
Attendance Certificates will be offered by KLC International Institute.
Admission Requirements
There are two pathways for enrolment into training courses. Learners can use their BCT result for enrol or will be required to attempt placement tools administered by the training providers for placement into the respective courses. However, learners with primary three Chinese language standards or below can be placed into Foundational course and shall be exempted from the placement tools.
