Course details

The Childcare Management Advanced Certificate is suited to participants who have already achieved Level 5 Certificate or equivalent in Childcare or related areas and who wish to develop their career opportunities. Learners who complete this course will be in a position to work in a management/supervisory capacity in a variety of childcare services and of course to start their own business in the childcare sector. Subjects are delivered through practical workshops, lectures, group work and discussion.

Learners who successfully complete a QQI Level 6 Certificate may be able to use their results to progress to related Level 7 and Level 8 Degree Programmes in Irish Universities and Institutes of Technology. Third level progression opportunities for QQI learners are continually being developed and enhanced.

We_They (SCFE) has been included on a national panel of trainers approved to offer childcare training under the newly launched “Learner Fund”. The training will be offered as part of our Adult Education provision, with support from the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Childcare Committee.
