Childcare FETAC Level 5

Course details

The demand for qualified childcare professionals has increased significantly in recent years. With this demand there is the expectation that childcare workers are trained to the highest standard in the practical, social and legal aspects of the profession.

We are offering a range of childcare courses which will enable learners to:

• Develop practical childcare skills and professional approach through hands-on work experience in a childcare setting.
• Prepare students for many job roles in childcare settings, e.g, Childcare Worker, Playgroup Worker, Special Needs Worker, Classroom Assistant, Early Education Teacher, Nanny, Au pair, Childminder, Residential Care, etc.
• Progress to a major award in childcare.
• Note: Work experience is required in a registered Early Childhood Care setting.

Entry Requirements

• FETAC Level 4, Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied, Recognised qualifications of approved overseas institutions, Mature students with relevant work or life experience, English language proficiency if appropriate.
