The FETAC Level 5 is suitable for those already working in childcare and wishing to gain qualifications or for those entering into the sector. FETAC Level 5 is considered the baseline qualification and is required for the EECC scheme. You must achieve a specific set of 8 modules to obtain a full award (a major award).
Each module is considered a minor award and a Component Certificate is given for each one.
This course course prepares students to work with young children. It is ideal for experienced mature persons seeking a formal qualification. It is offered on a modular basis, each module lasts 5 weeks. Modules are run consecutively. Students must register and pay course fees before the end of the first week in October regardless of when the module they have enrolled for commences in order to be registered with FETAC. Students should have experience of the childcare industry
