Chemical Hazard Communication for Operators and Technicians

Course details

Operators and Technicians are exposed in a multitude of different chemicals every day. These chemicals can and do pose a serious risk to the health and safety of all employees. Whilst a great deal of information is available relating to the particular hazards associated with different chemicals, this information can at times appear difficult to interpret by these employees. This training course provides the Operators and Technicians the basic information on the hazardous chemicals used in the workplace. It also includes training to operators and technicians on how to protect themselves from the effects of these hazardous chemicals. 

Course Content:

• What are hazardous chemicals
• How hazardous chemicals affect the body
• What are the different types of hazardous chemicals
• What is on product labels
• What are material safety data sheets
• How to protect yourself from hazardous chemicals

The course is designed to be interactive with a mix of theoretical and practical demonstrations to reinforce principles and concepts introduced during theory presentations. Delegates are evaluated by means of a short assessment.

• All personnel who may have direct or indirect involvement with chemicals in the workplace 

Certification:

A Petrofac Training certificate will be issued to each delegate on successful completion of the course.
