The Certificate: Pattern Cutting and Design enables relevant skills and competencies associated with the ability to adapt clothing trends and use trade terms, diagrams and illustrations related to the sewing trade. It will also teach students about figure measurements, fabric cutting, garment construction, pattern making and design. The programme thus enables the gaining of sewing skills either as a personal hobby or occupation within the clothing manufacturing or fashion environment.
