The Certificate IV in Library, Information and Cultural Studies will give you essential training for working in libraries , information services or other cultural institutions.
You will develop an understanding of the library information services industry, learn how to search databases and use cataloguing tools.
This course will teach you how to provide quality customer service, use and respect copyright, develop understanding of workplace health and safety, and work effectively in teams.
You will also help customers access information, operate computing packages and provide multimedia assistance
What employment opportunities will I have?
This course may provide you with employment opportunities as a Library Assistant in school, university, institute, public or special libraries. You may also find employment in information agencies, booksellers, library supply agencies and library software suppliers.
