Course details
This programme is designed to provide individuals with the skills set to develop a career in the food sector. This may be in self-employment or within a food related organisation, where the graduate of the programme will be involved in the development and enhancement of new food products. The programme takes participants through idea generation, market assessment, business start-up and product testing. Work based learning provides participants with an opportunity to put the theory into practice, to develop confidence and make the transition back into work.

Work Based Learning (is delivered in industry one day per week during the programme and a further 200 hours provided in industry at the end of the course).
Entry Requirements
Applicants must hold a level 6 Higher Certificate or equivalent qualification. The Institute’s policy in relation also applies. Applicants may also be required to attend for interview.
