Course details
Entrepreneurial activity is a key driver of growth in the Irish economy and there is a need for continued development of home-grown businesses that are innovative and creative. Through a directly relevant learning experience, this course enables participants to nurture new business ideas and/or develop intrapreneurial thinking abilities that can be applied in existing businesses.
The course is intended for:
- Individual intending to start/develop their own businesses;
- Those who wish to gain employment in established businesses that are aiming to be more innovative and develop new business opportunities;
- Former mid-level employees of various sectors wishing to develop a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial thinking.
The teaching and learning approach will emphasise problem-based and active learning techniques, integrating case studies and live organisation issues. Such an approach will enable participants to develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills, develop their capability to analyse and integrate theoretical concepts, and work in diverse team settings.
Entry Requirements
Applicants for the course should have a level 8 qualification in Business or a cognate discipline. The Institute's policy in relation also applies. Applicants may also be required to attend for interview.
