Course Objectives
- This course is designed to establish the students' foundation with the required business knowledge and skills for the contemporary business contexts.
- It prepares students to pursue into a Diploma course and advancement in their working careeer.
Who Will Benefit From The Course
- Students who desire to acquire the required knowledge and skills of the Diploma programme but do not meet the Diploma entry requirements.
- Students who want to acquire basic knowledge of business and management skills so as to secure specific jobs in management such as marketing co-ordinator.
Entry Requirements
- Minimum Age Requirement 17
Normal Entry
Singapore/PR students:
- 3 GCE 'O' Level with a pass in English, or
- 5 GCE 'N' Level with a pass in English
International students:
- Completed Year 10, or
- Secondary School Qualification or equivalent, or
- Subject to IELTS band 4.5 or equivalent
Assessments and Examinations
Including two written assessment methods. The first written assessment is a coursework assessment, which may be done by an inpidual or in group, The second is a written examination in which students will be assessed on key theories and their application.
The four components that contribute to the total assessment weighting are:
- Attendance = 10%
- Class Participation = 10%
- Coursework Assessment = 30%
- Written Examinaton = 50%
Graduation Requirements
- To pass the course, the student must pass all the modules.
Progression Pathway
- Successful candidates may progress into Unitedworld Diploma in Business Management.
