This is the ideal starting point for a successful and fulfilling career in beauty therapy. Students develop the required skills to work in a professional beauty salon and also perfect the costumer communication essential to its success. GTI prides itself on the success of POISE, its in-house beauty salon which is organised and managed by the students on this programme.
THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED TO
- Provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills required for a career in the beauty industry.
- Students will be trained in a realistic / industry based work environment in the colleges's own salon 'Poise'. They will experience the regular operation of a salon, establishing professional contact with costumers and potential employers.
- Students complete professional certified training with Dermalogica
- Skincare, Artdeco (Make-up) and Jessica Nail Care
- This course caters for school leavers and mature learners. It is an intense one year programme which requires a high level of commitment and enthusiasm.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, or equivalent - preference will be given to students who have Biology / Science based subject at Leaving Certificate / Equivalent Level.
