This course introduces the many tourism businesses and organisations that make up the tourism industry. You will gain the basic skills you need for employment in the industry and benefit from networking and industry events. Practical course excursions and activities encourage interactive learning and skill development.
Experienced teachers, who are experts in the field, will guide you through the program in a range of environments (on and off site) that reflect current industry practices.
What employment opportunities will I have?
With this nationally recognised qualification, you’ll be able to work as a tourism operator, online consultant, salesperson, tourist information officer or public relations assistant anywhere in the world.
This qualification provides a pathway to work in many tourism industry sectors and for a persity of employers including tour operators, inbound tour operators, visitor information centres, attractions and any small business requiring multi-skilled employees
Possible job titles include: Attractions or theme park attendant, booking agent, cellar door salesperson, inbound tour coordinator, museum attendant, operations consultant for a tour operator, reservations sales agent for a tour operator, sales consultant, visitor information officer
