Gain the essential skills and knowledge to care and support people living in a home setting with this course. You will learn how to work effectively in a home and community care environment, gain valuable communication skills and develop the outstanding customer service skills needed to support clients and colleagues.
A feature of this course is that you may have the opportunity to undertake a work placement with one of our industry partners, Benetas. Benetas is one of the leading not-for-profit providers of residential care, in-home care, respite care, housing services and retirement living in Victoria. This course is designed to meet the needs of a complex and carefully regulated industry and will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to make a meaningful contribution in this chosen field, and gain satisfaction from your work. It will ensure you are job ready and have the qualifications and work experience necessary to secure employment with an aged care provider such as Benetas.
What employment opportunities will I have?
This course may provide you with employment opportunities in local government, community organisations and home and community care (HACC) services.
On completion of your course, a select number of students may also be offered employment with this industry affiliate.
