Beautiful nails require skill and artistry. In this course you will learn the art of becoming a nail technician.
This hands-on course will teach you how to perform manicures, pedicures, acrylic and gel nail enhancements and a range of other tasks.
Along with these practical skills you will also learn the science of nails, and the vital communication and retail skills needed for a career as a nail technician. On-the-job placement is a required part of this course, so you will get to put your skills into practice in a real working environment.
What employment opportunities will I have?
- This course leads to work in beauty salons, hairdressing salons that offer nail services and specialist nail salons.

Will my previous experience or study count?
Advanced Standing is approved recognition of prior learning that is displayed as an Exemption (EX) on the student’s academic record. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC) takes into account the knowledge and skills you’ve already gained through your previous education and work. This may be through formal or informal training, paid or unpaid work experience, and can earn you credit if relevant to your chosen course.
