What is this course about?

This course consists of two modules - Marketing and Entrepreneurship. This award will train students to understand and examine the marketing challenges faced by modern businesses and will introduce students to the concept of entrepreneurship, examining some of the key strategic issues in relation to new venture creation in Ireland. The programme is ideal for those who have a business idea they want to progress, graduates who want to hone their entrepreneurial and marketing skills or those who have experience but no formal qualifications in the area.

Aim

This course will introduce students to the concepts of entrepreneurship and marketing. Students will examine some of the key strategic issues in relation to new venture creation in Ireland. Students can then build on the knowledge gained and apply it in a practical format through a structured business plan. The course will advance students knowledge of marketing concepts and theory at a strategic level. It will provide a framework for students to understand and examine the challenges faced by modern marketers and to develop critical, analytical and decision-making skills.

What are the minimum entry requirements?

All applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Lifelong Learning reserves the right to require applicants to attend for an interview to determine their suitability for the programme.

Progression routes from this programme

All students have the opportunity to apply for the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Visual Communications and Design and the Bachelor of Art (Honours) in Art (these are full-time courses).
