Introduction
This course is designed to equip the learner with a high level of knowledge, skill and competence within a range of subjects related to the multimedia industry. There is an emphasis on project management, digital video, image processing, animation, web technology and multimedia production as well as creative marketing and multimedia industry awareness.
Entry Requirements
Applicants for this Advanced Certificate course must have already successfully obtained a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Multimedia Production or equivalent. Entry may be subject to interview.

Course Structure
This course aims to provide an educational foundation for a range of creative, technical and management careers in Multimedia. Course studies are directly relevant to the digital media field in which learners intend to seek employment.

Graduates in this area are very much in demand in the digital media sector. Present employment opportunities lie in the areas of web design, graphic design, interactive design, multimedia production, animation creation, digital television/film, DVD/CD-ROM authoring and project management. Holders of a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Multimedia and Web Development may progress to further studies at Institutes of Technology/Universities through the Higher Education Links Scheme.
This course is run with support from the FIT Job Seekers programme. They provide guidance and information on CV development, interview skills, work placement visits and LinkedIn profiles. After your completion of the Level 6 Multimedia & Web Development course, FIT will provide three years of support in CV preparation and interview skills.
