A cash flow statement in financial accounting is also identified as the statement of cash flows that shows the changes in cash inflows and outflows caused by the core business operations.This unit looks at the idea of funds flowing through a business, the role of working capital in the operations of a business and the use of cash flow statements as analytical tools. It also examines the working capital requirements, sources of funds and the need for additional funds.
The unit focuses on the statement of changes in working capital, the importance of cash and cash flow statements, sources and uses of cash and preparation of cash flow statements.
