Career Preparation Workshops

Course details

Our Career Preparation workshops are aimed at currently employed individuals or job seekers who wish to make positive changes to their employment status. Our programmes are designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and competence to gather information and make informed choices about employment, training and/or further education opportunities. Participants will engage in a range of focused activities which enable them to successfully secure employment and/or training opportunities.

Course Overview

We offer our Career Preparation workshops over a number of days and the content on each course may vary. During our one day Career Preparation Workshops participants will complete the following:

• Personal/transferable skills audit
• Personal/professional profile
• Targeted job seeking skills
• CV/Cover letter.

Course Outcomes

Upon completion of our one day Career Preparation Workshop participants will have:

• A clear understanding of their own skills and accomplishments.
• Completed a personal profile matching skills and abilities to future career opportunities.
• Drafted a CV to target the current job market and clients chosen industry/market.
• Drafted a cover letter suitable for an employment application.

Two Day Career Preparation Workshop – Course Overview

Our Career Preparation workshop has been designed to provide candidates with a more detailed insight and skills development to enhance their job seeking or career development opportunities. Participants will engage in a range of focused activities which will enable them to successfully secure employment and/or training opportunities.

This course is aimed at currently employed individuals or job seekers who wish to make positive changes to their employment status.

Three Day Career Preparation Workshop – Course Overview

This programme has been designed to provide the learner with a good knowledge of the job seeking process. Participants will improve their job seeking knowledge in the areas of research, preparation, the application process and the interview process. Participants will also develop the skills to make informed judgements about work, training and educational opportunities and to gain practice in a range of skills needed to prepare for employment.

The course is aimed at those who require assistance in making that next step in their career and employment status.
