CAD is an increasingly critical skills component required of professionals working in industry. The college provides CAD Training to candidates from various disciplines including interior design, engineering, landscape design, architecture, retail design, shop-fitting and building services.

- Use of Tool Bars
- File management
- Creating Prototypes
- New drawings
- Printing drawings
- Editing drawn information
- Applying hatch patterns
- Layering
- Creating and Inserting text
- Isometric Drawing
- Dimensioning
Participants are expected to have a basic knowledge of computers. It is advisable to have access to the CAD programme outside of class time for practice.
Assessment
The assessment for the course includes 2 written assignments and one multiple choice test which is delivered online.
Certification
Successful participants will be awarded a City & Guilds Certificate in CAD 2D (7579-02). If you do not require City & Guilds Certification but would still like to train in CAD 2D, you may still take the course. You will not be required to pay the City & Guilds Registration Fee in this instance.

The annual graduation is a special occasion that allows students to celebrate their academic achievements. This year’s graduation was held in the beautiful and historic Kings Inn.
This year’s guest speaker was Irish fashion designer Paul Costelloe, who offered warm words of enctheiragement for all present.
