Course details
The Business Mandarin Programme (Chinese Workplace Literacy Series) is a collaborative project between the Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and the Office of Chinese Language Council International, Beijing (HANBAN). Singapore Chinese Chamber Institute of Business (SCCIOB) is a Continuing Education and Training (CET) Centre partner of WDA of this programme.This programme is heavily subsidised by WDA for Singaporeans & Permanent Residents who met the criteria.
The Business Mandarin Programme targets to assist working professionals acquire the necessary Chinese proficiency skills to handle business situations. This would include composing business emails, understanding information in Chinese, handling Chinese-speaking clients/counterparts or conducting meetings and presentations in Chinese with ease and confidence.
Complete Beginners
Learners who are complete beginners may start off with the Business Mandarin Foundation course.
Learners with Chinese Proficiency
Participants with Chinese proficiency are required to sit for a placement test. Based on the test results, participants will be placed in a level that matches their proficiency.
Funding Criteria
- Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident in the workforce.
- Achieve at least 75% attendance for the course.
- Complete pre-test before training and post test after training.
- Participate in a survey 3 months after the course and post-test.
