Business development is a combination of strategic analysis, marketing, and sales. Business development professionals can be involved in everything from the development of their employers' products and services, to the creation of marketing strategies, to the generation of sales leads, to negotiating and closing deals. Business development consists of a number of skills, techniques, and responsibilities which aim at gaining new customers and at penetrating existing customers and markets. 

Successful companies and organizations are under the crunch of economic challenges and the competition is fierce from less successful companies that are willing to do anything to stay in business. Price wars, under the table concessions, dirty tricks are just names to what is happening in the market. At this point, the need for Business Development salespeople is felt by companies. This program is designed to reinforce the capability of salespersons and professional business developers in order to identify new business opportunities-whether that means new markets, new partnerships with other businesses, new ways to reach existing markets.
