Course details
Following theAligning HR and Business Strategyprogram, this Building and Developing an Effective HR Business Planprogram is the second part of this three-part Aligning HR and Business Strategy Week.
75% of CEOs expect HR to be strategic partners when formulating business strategy, yet only 30% of HR leaders are living up to these expectations. Senior management's prevailing perception that HR does not understand the business is one of the key drivers for this disparity, based on global think-tank Economist Intelligence Unit’s research.
To become a strategic partner, you need to know how to develop a powerful business plan that demonstrates your commercial acumen, and at the same time, convinces your key stakeholders that your HR initiatives are worthwhile to pursue.
Following Clariden’s “Aligning HR and Business Strategy” executive program led by renowned Dr Linda Holbeche, this program is designed to help you create a compelling HR business plan that will help you gain management’s support and buy-in. Through this program, you will discover what stakeholders are looking for when they review your business plan, what are the key financial and business terms you should build into your business plan to demonstrate your commercial acumen and how to design a plan that will strategically align HR with key business initiatives. You will also learn how to gain stakeholders' commitment by building your own stakeholder engagement plan and leave the program with the confidence to deal with resistance and challenges from senior management. Linda will also share with you with a key HR business plan template that you can use to craft your next business plan.
You are encouraged to attend this program together with “Aligning HR and Business Strategy”, also led by Dr Linda Holbeche, author of best-selling HR book (Aligning HR and Business Strategy), so that you will leave the program with a clear action plan on how to roll initiatives that will allow HR to become a strategic partner to CEOs.
