Introduction
The Advanced IT & Business Management course is designed to equip the learner with a superior level of computing skills and a detailed knowledge of practices and processes relating to the business environment. Successful participants will receive a QQI Level 6 Certificate in Business.
Entry Requirements
Applicants for this Advanced Certificate course must have already successfully obtained a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Business Administration, Business Studies, eBusiness, Information Processing or equivalent. Entry may be subject to interview.

Course Structure
There is an emphasis on business management, accounting and advanced computer skills such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing and web authoring. Learners who successfully complete the course are equipped with a practical understanding of the business environment and a qualification in modern business skills.
Career Options | Progression
Holders of a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Business may progress to further study at Institutes of Technology/Universities. Transfer arrangements exist with Dundalk IT, where you may progress to year two of the Business Studies degree programme, if you meet the entry requirements. In addition, you will have excellent career prospects in administration, IT or related business areas.
This course is run with support from the FIT Job Seekers programme. They provide guidance and information on CV development, interview skills, work placement visits and LinkedIn profiles. After your completion of the Level 6 in Advanced IT and Business Management, FIT will provide three years of support in CV preparation and interview skills.
