Brick and Block Laying FETAC Level 3

Course details

To provide learners with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary to select the correct tools and equipment required to build a range of brick and block walls, ensuring that all maintenance on equipment is maintained correctly. That participants can follow drawings to set out work required, using the technique & methods set out to cut the brick or block allowing them to join correctly and mix the desired batch of motor to the required specified proportion. On completion participants will be able to construct a range of brick and block walls.

• Preparation and design / Setting up
• Selecting the right tools and materials and ensuring the correct maintenance
• Be able to identify a range of brick and block laying techniques
• Construct a brick or block wall
• Learning cutting techniques / Mix motor to correct specification
• Completion of work and general maintenance required
