    Course details

    The aim of this course is to provide a platform to framers and researchers to discuss ecofriendly biofloc technology. This will facilitate dissemination of knowledge about the technology and will help enhance productivity, profitability and sustainability of aquaculture.

    Objectives

    At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

    • Understand the concept of biofloc system
    • Understand how the biofloc system works
    • Understand the system’s requirements and learn the methods of altering the chemistry and functions of the system
    • to achieve particular outcomes
    • Carry out future research and development opportunities to improve the biofloc technology and apply it in Kuwait

    Professionals and researchers working in shrimp or fish aquaculture. Farms owners working in shrimp or fish industries.

    Pre-requisites

    • B.Sc. or higher degree in biology and aquaculture
    • High-school diploma with experience in aquaculture
