Course details

The Basic Life Support (BLS) course is an intensive 1-day program designed to equip healthcare providers and first responders with the critical skills needed to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies. Delivered by American Heart Association (AHA)–certified instructors, the course combines evidence-based instruction with hands-on practical scenarios to build competence and confidence in emergency care.

Course Modules:
  • Introduction to Basic Life Support – Understanding the BLS chain of survival and the importance of early intervention.
  • Adult, Child & Infant CPR – High-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques using the latest AHA standards.
  • Use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator) – Safe operation, shock delivery, and post-resuscitation care.
  • Airway Management – Ensuring open airway, rescue breathing, and use of barrier devices.
  • Team Dynamics in Resuscitation – Coordinating effectively during multi-rescuer scenarios.
  • Management of Choking Victims – Recognizing and responding to airway obstructions across all age groups.
  • Assessment & Response Skills – Recognizing cardiac arrest, performing early defibrillation, and initiating advanced support.
Upon successful completion, participants receive an AHA Basic Life Support Provider Certificate, valid for 2 years, recognized globally in clinical and emergency care settings. Updated on 13 October, 2025

Eligibility / Requirements

Open to healthcare professionals, medical students, and emergency response personnel. Participants should have a basic understanding of human anatomy and a keen interest in emergency care. No prior certification required.
