Coillte Training and Safety Services are also a registered training provider and assessment centre for City & Guilds.

Course Objectives:

Participants will learn to perform the following skills with an emphasis on safety

• Cut trees up to guidebar length
• Crosscutting. Snedding (debranching)
• Split-Level cuts
• Taking down hung-up trees
• General chainsaw maintenance
• Chain sharpening

All candidates are requested to have personal protective equipment chainsaw, boots gloves trousers and combination helmet.
