Eligibility / Requirements
For the PMP certification exam, you must have either of the following:
Option 1
A secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
7,500 hours leading and directing projects (5 years of project management experience)
35 hours of project management education (35 contact hours of Formal Project Management Education)
Option 2
Four-year degree or the global equivalent
4,500 hours leading and directing projects
35 hours of project management education (35 contact hours of Formal Project Management Education)
If you don’t meet the requirements for the PMP, consider the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®
