Course details
In this course the participants will gain a critical awareness of contemporary theoretical debates in the field of international relations, international economy and globalisation. The course will revolve around current affairs in international relations, as well as problems emerging from the globalised world economy and the importance of trading blocs and related issues will be discussed.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Develop expertise and critical theoretical insights working in the areas of international development, political economy, security
- Critically analyse the foreign trade policies and their impacts on developing and emerging markets
- Evaluate the merits and demerits of the trading blocs and their impacts on trade creation and trade persion
- Analyse the importance of foreign trade in the growing disparities between the rich and poor countries
