This EDI qualification covers the basic principles of food safety for those who work in, or intend to work in, a retail environment where packaged and/or open foods are available. This includes delivery drivers and other service providers. The aim is to provide learners with knowledge of basic food safety practices relevant to a retail environment.
Syllabus
There is one mandatory unit which is assessed through a portfolio of evidence:
- Work effectively in your retail organisation
Entry Requirements for the Award in Food Safety for Retail (Level 2)
There are no formal entry requirements; this qualification is open to all learners.
