Automated External defibrillator (AED)

Automated external defibrillation (AED) course is designed to provide the necessary skills to manage a patient that is unconscious and not breathing normally and until the arrival of the emergency services. This course meets the guidelines of the UK and European Resuscitation Councils for Basic Life Support and the use of an AED.

The course also meets the First Aid Requirements of the Department of Children, Schools and Families for First Aid in Schools.

Course Duration: 6-7 hrs.

Assessment: students are assessed throughout the course by instructor observation of the essential skills. There is no formal summative assessment for this course.

Certificate: Najma  certificate, valid for 2 years.
