ASTL Professional Designation in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (PLS)
The Professional Designation in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (PLS) programme is a mid-level certification that provides core competency of knowledge to professionals in existing Logistics and Supply Chain Management (SCM) functions. PLS training topics include issues confronting supply chain managers around the globe: competitive strategy, customer value and service, logistics costs and performance, responsiveness, lead-time management, collaboration across multiple enterprises, globalisation, risk management, integration of supply chain processes, and transforming the logistics organisation.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the PLS course includes imparting an understanding of the:
- Supply chain concept
- Approaches employed to obtain competitive advantage through supply chain management
- Techniques employed to improve the performance and efficiency of supply chains
- Effect of interdependent activities and firms on overall performance and behaviour
- Approaches for measuring performance in the supply chain

PROGRAMME DELIVERY
The ASTL Professional Designation in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (PLS) consists of 10 units for full certification. This programme will take 4 days to complete.

AWARD
Upon completion of the programme and required international examination, participant will receive an internationally-recognised Professional Designation in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (PLS) Certificate from ASTL (American Society of Transportation and Logistics, Inc) and be awarded as Certified Members of ASTL. SMF Centre for Corporate Learning will also issue a Certificate of Attendance upon programme completion.
