Course details
An associate degree in Science can see you skilled and in the worforce in 2 years.
Do you see yourself developing new scientific technology? Perhaps you would like to work in a medical laboratory as part of a pathology diagnostic team? Perhaps you feel lost in the crowd at other higher education providers?
This two year course will give you a solid platform to launch your career in the science and biotechnology industry. You will develop highly tuned practical skills in our state of the art laboratories. With class sizes of no more than 20 students, you will receive highly personalised training in a warm supportive environment.
Building on a strong foundation of Biology and Chemistry in first year, you will gain theoretical and hands-on experience in critical science areas such as Biochemistry, Genetics and Microbiology. Expand your horizons in new and exciting areas such as Nanotechnology and Bioprocessing.
After completion, you may wish to continue into the final year of the Bachelor Degree of Science and Biotechnology to gain access to our highly successful work placement program.
What employment opportunities will I have?
You may find employment in research laboratories of Universities and Government Departments as well as in laboratories of the pharmaceutical industry, pathology laboratories, analytical laboratories in a senior position
