The aim of this course is to encourage people working in the caring profession — Nurses, Carers, Facilitators, Workshop Coordinators (team building etc.)— to engage in Art Activities to improve the quality of life for residents, day-care users, employees and within school settings.
What can art do for you!
Inclusion, stimulation, enhancing motor skills, visual awareness, concentration, confidence building, team building, learning, communication and Fun!
Main topics which will be discussed:
- Everyone is capable regardless of background in art, or disabilities.
- Materials you can use
- Ideas of projects etc.
Learning outcomes and skills:
- Demonstrate confidence in the knowledge of art materials and ideas of projects that can be brought to a specific area of work.
- The importance of communicating with clients.
- Awareness that anything is possible regardless of disabilities.
- Ability to assess a client with their needs using art as the medium

The overall infrastructure at We_They has changed dramatically over the years since the establishment of Milford House Nursing Home by the Little Company of Mary in 1928. Despite these physical changes we, as a healthcare facility, have strived to ensure that we continue to deliver the highest quality and safe care to our residents, patients and visitors.
