It is suitable for people of all backgrounds and experience and is an opportunity to come back to education in an environment suited to your needs.

What do I get out of it?

A QQI/FETAC Level 5 award in Cultural and Heritage Studies – 5M2154. This is achieved through the successful completion of eight modules. Modules are assessed through the completion of projects, assignments, skills demonstrations and exams e.g. Archaeology: 2 assignments (25% each) and an exam (50%). These are spread throughout the academic year. Examinations are usually held at the end of the academic year.

Where can I go from here?

On successful completion of World Cultures, some students find work in the field of culture and heritage. Many other students are keen to avail of the “Higher Links Scheme” which enables successful FETAC graduates to progress onto Higher Education.
