There is a recognised need for a variety of qualified practitioners in the Social Care Sector. This Social Studies course is the ideal stepping stone to helping you get to Third-Level or gain employment in settings such as Residential Care Centres, Community Projects, Youth Centres, Centres for the Elderly / Aged, or assisting people with disabilities. On this course, students critically examine modern social issues. They learn to appreciate the need for care in society and explore care provision across all sectors. It is worth noting that there is an identified lack of men working in the Social Care Sector.
Garda vetting must be successfully completed for all courses in the Department of Health Services, Childcare & Youth Work
