Course details
In this course, participants will review and learn about of mechanical seal failure. It will help the participants to increase awareness of mechanical seal failure and how faulty equipment conditions and process affect the mechanical seal performance.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, participants will be able to identify mechanical seal failure symptoms and eliminate equipment malfunction or failure and ultimately help in improving the meantime between planned maintenance
COURSE OUTLINE.
- Discuss how the rotating equipment’s condition influences the mechanical seal failure.
- Review and understand requirements of document, reports and checklist for trouble shooting of mechanical seals.
- Discuss how improper operational practice of the equipment and the environmental conditions affect the mechanical seal life.
- Identify specific failure during and after equipment disassembly.
- Define corrective action for various types of failures.
