Course details
This unit identifies and communicates key legislatives and regulatory requirements, assesses, documents and reports potential areas of non-compliance with regard to policies, procedures and business activities. It assists in the integration of procedures to ensure compliance, as well as prepares management report for follow-up.
This course will be conducted using the Personal Data Protection Act Business Management (BM) Workforce Skills Qualification Standard Curriculum and Standard Assessment developed by Personal Data Protection Commission.
It covers:
- Introduction to Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
- Data Protection Provisions and Do Not Call Provisions
- Roles of Data Protection Officer (DPO)
- Creates an organisation’s Data Inventory Map (DIM) and
- identify possible areas of non-compliance
- Develop a process for handling complaints relating to data
- protection
- Training and communications to staff
Entry Requirements
- GCE 'O' Level Credit (at least C6) in English and Mathematics or Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 6 for Reading, Listening and Numeracy, and
- Working experience of at least two years and above at the Supervisory or Managerial position
