Course details

We all know that blockchain and cryptocurrencies are hot! Everybody seems to be talking about crypto nowadays, but how do you get on top of the curve? How can you get in the place only a few professional or institutional investors ever make it to? Well the most sure-fire way is through the algorithmic trading of cryptocurrency markets.

While others are just starting to learn what those candlesticks and chart patterns mean, we will be learning the sophisticated strategies used by hedge-funds and cryptowhales, such as statistical arbitrage, machine learning predictive algorithms, nonlinear data analysis and so on.

Of course, it requires using professional software, but I will teach you how to deal with MATLAB for algorithmic trading purposes. MATLAB is a high level software for financial engineers that has actually been for decades by professionals from the top investment banks and hedge-funds. It requires some programming skills, but it is not necessary for you to have them, I will teach you how to use the system step-by-step right from the very basics. Also, you shouldn't need to buy it at the start as I will show you how to get 30-day free trial, and as for the price of MATLAB, it is less than a hundred dollars, so don't worry.

This particular course is the first part of a series of courses about algorithmic cryptocurrency strategies, but first we will not start learning them just yet, but rather we will first talk about the very important basics and learn how to load data. However, getting free high quality historical daily and intraday data for cryptocurrency market is not as easy as it might seem, so we will start from this very beginning. We will talk about how to export data from MetaTrader 4 into MATLAB, how to deal with the CoinAPI database, how to create your own scripts and get data in one click. These basics will allow us to test and analyze our trading strategies, which we will discuss in the next course.

I have worked with MATLAB for more than 9 years, and have worked with a hedge-fund and in an IT company that develops trading software. I have also participated in a process creating a cryptoexchange, conducted an ICO and much more. My overall experience in algorithmic trading goes back more than 10 years, and since 2013, I have done in-depth research into cryptocurrencies. I will provide my codes here in this course, and you can download them all for free.
