Programme Overview

This 1 year, full time programme provides Learners with the opportunity to train for a career in Multimedia and Web Development sector. The course focuses on Digital Imaging, Game Design, Animation and Web Development.  Multimedia Production learners will also have access to the College's new Apple iMac computer room equipped with the latest software and hardware.

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants must hold a QQI  Level 5 Award in the chosen area.
  • Mature learners (over 23) may be exempt from the above academic requirements.
  • In addition applicants will have to undertake an interview.

  • The skills that you learn on our QQI Level 6 programme will enable you to seek employment/self-employment in the Multimedia and Web Development discipline and your end of year portfolio of course work also demonstrates excellent preparation for further studies in these areas.

Limerick College of Further Education is a long-established, state-funded and administered further education college. It is one of many centres of education run by Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board. LCFE was known until 2008 as Limerick Senior College.

LCFE offers Further Education (Post Leaving Certificate) programmes and Professional qualifications in a variety of disciplines and caters for approximately 1200 full-time and 3000 part-time learners. Its campuses are situated in the South-East of the city on Mulgrave Street (a short distance from the city centre) and also in East Limerick at Cappamore.
