The Advanced Diploma in Business Management course is designed to meet the needs of serious learners and enhances the learning experience. In addition, this course aims to improve the students’ theoretical and practical framework and the perspective of business management.

Entry Requirements
- Foundations in Business Management Studies awarded by FTMSGlobal Academy OR
- Relevant Local/Overseas Polytechnic Diploma or Professional qualifications
- ITE/ Higher NITEC OR
- Any other equivalent qualification would be considered on a case by case basis

Course Modules
- Business Communication Skills: This module inspires and cultivates critical thinking, civic literacy and global awareness. It fosters the knowledge, skills and character traits that are essential to both a healthy democracy and to a competitive economy.
- Research Methodology: This module develops critical thinking and research skills that are valuable in studies, all facets of life, as well as help to keep our society vibrant
- Business Economics I: This course will provide the students with a comprehensive knowledge on how the economy works and how it affects different types of businesses. It covers topics like supply and demand, elasticity, money market and output determination, national economy, unemployment and inflation, economic role of government, international trade, and other related matters.
- Business Analysis: This module will introduce to students the basic elements of statistics. It is designed to equip students with the statistical research skills, including data analysis, data representation and data interpretation. These skills will allow them to make informed decisions or projections. Topics covered include descriptive statistics, sampling methodology, index numbers, financial mathematics, linear regression, and forecasting.
- Business Law and Ethics: This module provides an understanding of the underlying principles of business law and a working knowledge of the law of contract and its practical application. It also explains the legal environment in which businesses operate. Moreover, this course also covers topics about ethics and corporate crime.
- Financial Management: This course will deal with a number of related topics, including risk management, the efficiency of financial markets; the management of interest rate and currency risk; insolvency risk prediction models; contemporary financial management issues.
- Marketing Management: The module covers the basic principles of marketing and how to apply it in actual situations. This module also tackles how the consumer behaviour will affect the marketability of a product or service. The students will be provided with an overview of how behaviour is influenced by the society. A sound understanding of consumer behaviour is essential to the success of marketing activity.
- Business Management Techniques: This module covers the basic concepts of business administration and international business management. It will enable the students to understand and apply managerial principles to real situations in the organization. The Principles of Business Management is designed to prepare the students to be an effective manager, as it delves on topics like business ownership, environment of management, managerial skills and functions, globalization, and international trade and business handling.
- Small Business Management: This module is designed to introduce the pursuit of entrepreneurial dreams. This course will provide a path and a guide to achieve entrepreneurial success. As the student will discover, there is much more than just leading and managing, although that too will be explored. The focus of this study is to assist those who seek an independent business career. The direct method of achieving the objective of this course is for the budding entrepreneur to produce a business plan.
- Organisational Behavior and Culture: This module provides a framework for students to understand and apply relevant models of behavior to the workplace, while allowing them to learn how to analyse different organizational environments and structure. It also emphasizes the critical importance of people in a work environment that is progressing through change and globalization. - Business Economics II: In this module, students will be provided with a thorough understanding of how economics works in a business enterprise. It deals with the economic factors in an organization, as well as the business' relationship with the government and how it is affected by macroeconomic policies.
- Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Management: This module will cover all information needed to gain entrepreneurial skills, like human resource management, how to raise funds, and have a sound financial management. It will delve into the key elements on how to be an outstanding entrepreneur, while also creating awareness for the new product or service offering. This module will prepare the students to become a business owner or manager able to succeed in risky initiatives.
- Organisational Performance Management

The module will focus on how to apply e-commerce, as well as information and communication technology, to fast-changing business enterprises and how it is affecting current industrial practices. It will also cover topics in Soft System Methodology, Business Process Re-engineering, and other related information.
- Human Resource Management: This course outlines different regulatory processes and ethical practices essential to an understanding of the principles of corporate governance and ethics in the contemporary business environment. It is designed to facilitate analysis of the regulatory influences on the behaviour of corporate executives, information disclosure and board functions/structures and to foster the growth and integration of candidates' knowledge of the ethical influences on the economic, financial, managerial, and environmental aspects of management.
- Business Strategic Management: This course will provide the students with an in-depth understanding of the strategic and coherent approach to an organization's most valued assets - the people working there who individually and collectively contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the business. This module will also focus on effective business practices, like performance and reward management, to ensure the motivation and success of the human resource of the company. They will be introduced to different learning theories and styles, helping them reflect on their learning experience and increasing their effectiveness as independent self-learners. In addition, they will be involved with personal development planning (PDP) to improve their employability and professional skills.
