    This course will equip trainees with the necessary skills and knowledge to diagnose and provide pain relief for different types of muscle-skeletal disorders covering the limbs, head, neck, shoulder, torso and lumbar region using remedial manipulation and protocol. Trainees are expected to have some knowledge of Basic TCM Theory such as The Theory of Yin Yang, The Theory of 5 Elements, The Zang Organs, The Qi, Blood & Body Fluid, The Meridian Systems, Classification of Acupoints, Methods of locating Acupoints and Common Acupoints such as ST36 Zusanli, LU5 Chize, ST35 Dubi, SP6 Sanyinjiao, BL13 Feizhu, BL60 Kunlun, KI1 Yongquan, GB21 Jianjing, GB34 Yanglingquan, EX-HN5 Taiyang.

    Course Conent

    1. Theory & Practice of Traditional Massotherapy
      • Consult with client, importance of reviewing & updating client profile, client consent;
      • Understand fundamentals of TCM, meridians, effects & benefits, contraindications & cautions of traditional chinese massage;
      • General intoduction to meridians covering the Meridian Systems, Classification of Acupoints, methods of locating acupoints, common used acupoints on trunk and four limbs.
    2. Applying massage methods to manage joint pain and dysfunction - four limbs
    3. Applying massage methods to manage spine disorders
    4. Applying manual and mechanical massage in workplace
