Course details
This course has been specifically designed to prepare students for employment in the Multimedia Technology Industry or students may progress to higher education. Employment in this sector has seen rapid growth over the past number of years and will continue to grow in the near future.
Entry Requirements:
Students should have completed the FETAC level 5 Certificate in Multimedia Production or an equivalent qualification.
Certification:
There is continuous assessment throughout the year and examinations in May. This course is certified by the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) at level 6. Successful students will receive a FETAC Level 6 Certificate in Multimedia and Web Development (EMMWD)
Career Progression:
This course is designed to equip students with the qualifications and experience necessary to progress into directly into employment in multimedia technologies or obtain a place in higher education. A very strong link programme has been established with the Dundalk Institute of Technology enabling some successful students to progress to year 2 of the Bachelor of Arts in Communications in Creative Media.
