Programme Overview
This advanced programme has been developed to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence in the theory, principles and practices underpinning a range of business scenarios and to enable the learner to work independently or in a supervisory capacity in a variety of business contexts and to progress to higher education and training.
Learners who successfully complete the programme will develop a solid foundation in business and portfolio of skills used in the management, marketing, planning and financing of a business enterprise.

Entry Requirements
- Applicants must hold a QQI Level 5 Award in the chosen area.
- Mature learners (over 23) may be exempt from the above academic requirements.
- In addition applicants will have to undertake an interview.
Employment/Progression Opportunities
The Award enables graduates to exercise their acquired skills to gain employment at junior executive level in various service/manufacturing industries and/or may be used to develop a business idea in a start-up enterprise situation.
Also, other Institutes of Technology and other Colleges around the country may be offering opportunities for further studies.

Limerick College of Further Education is a long-established, state-funded and administered further education college. It is one of many centres of education run by Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board. LCFE was known until 2008 as Limerick Senior College.
LCFE offers Further Education (Post Leaving Certificate) programmes and Professional qualifications in a variety of disciplines and caters for approximately 1200 full-time and 3000 part-time learners. Its campuses are situated in the South-East of the city on Mulgrave Street (a short distance from the city centre) and also in East Limerick at Cappamore.
