Course details
This course is designed to provide training for inpiduals who are interested in or currently have a career in the field of Administration or Office Management. Participants in this course will learn effective communication, customer service, phone etiquette and organization skills, amongst a variety of other topics. The course will provide them with the skills and knowledge required to be successful in this profession and will include practice using essential computer software and applications. Participants will also have the opportunity to practice the concepts learned through case studies and presentations.

- The course will begin with participant introductions and a discussion of the topics that will be covered in this course. Students will receive an outline of the course and will have an opportunity to ask questions regarding the content. In addition, students will be asked to analyze their learning objectives from this course.

- Time management is a vital skill for Administrators and Office Managers as they are normally working under the pressure of competing priorities and tasks. This session teaches participants to effectively prioritize and maximize the use of time, particularly in situations where they have an impeding deadline.
Presentations
- This session gives participants the knowledge and skills to create a variety of presentations for different audiences and purposes. Participants will have the opportunity to create a presentation through PowerPoint and will present it to the class, making use of the opportunity for constructive criticism from the instructor and their peers.
