Programme Overview
It is designed to meet the growing demand in the market place for staff with practical accounting skills and relevant computer experience. This programme will give participants experience with
computerised accounting systems. Successful programme participants can progress to Advance Accounting and Finance with IT QQI Level 6.

Entry Requirements
- Applicants must have Leaving Certificate, LCA or equivalent.
- Holders of a QQI Level 4 Award are also eligible to apply.
- Mature learners (over 23) may be exempt from the above academic requirements.
- In addition applicants will have to undertake an interview.
Employment/Progression Opportunities
Learners can pursue careers in the areas of office administration, payroll or as assistant accountants.
Institutes of Technology and other Colleges around the country may be offering opportunities for further studies.

About Limerick College of Further Education
Limerick College of Further Education is a long-established, state-funded and administered further education college. It is one of many centres of education run by Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board. LCFE was known until 2008 as Limerick Senior College.
LCFE offers Further Education (Post Leaving Certificate) programmes and Professional qualifications in a variety of disciplines and caters for approximately 1200 full-time and 3000 part-time learners. Its campuses are situated in the South-East of the city on Mulgrave Street (a short distance from the city centre) and also in East Limerick at Cappamore.
