Course details

Stage 1 - Technical

An intense theoretical class that sets the stage for practical development of garment production and design skills. You will learn measurement taking and the development of garment patterns. You will cover the patterns for the bodice, skirt, trousers, sleeves and collars. You will understand how to work with men, women or children. You will learn to control the fit of your garments and make basic design and fitting decisions. You will master the sewing techniques you would need to sew and assemble a large variety of garments including dresses, blouses, trousers, shirts, skirts and more.

Stage 2 - Styling & Design 

Once you learn to make patterns and control the fit of your garments, you will now learn the design techniques you need to know to manipulate your patterns and create your own unique designs. This will teach you to harness your imagination and fully exploit the potential in garment designing. This training will allow you to bring your personality into play in the way you interpret and use design ideas.

Stage 3 - Advanced Styling & Design

Move your basic and intermediate skills the next step with an intense pattern making, design and production workshop. Develop garments for couture/ready to wear. Focus on use of creative imagination, style development, mastering garment pattern making for production and finishing of garments.
