The IOSH Managing Safely Certificate aims to introduce managers at all levels & with different background, to the different aspects of managing safety and health in the workplace. The IOSH Managing Safely course introduces the multi-disciplinary nature of health and safety at work and covers a range of common workplace hazards & control.
Who the IOSH Managing Safely Course is For?
The managing safely course is ideal for both health & Safety professionals and non practitioners who have to manage risk and resources in all sectors.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of the course, delegates should among others be able to:
- Apply basic management principles & practices to safety & health issues as part of a total management strategy.
- Set achievable safety & health objectives & plan & implement courses of action to achieve those objectives.
- Recognize safety & health hazards present in the workplace.
- Carry out & record basic assessments of the risks associated with workplace hazards, & recommend suitable control measures.
- Take account of risks arising from ergonomic factors.
- Ensure that adequate information, training & supervision is provided for employees.
- Investigate an accident or incident involving injury or damage to determine the causes & take appropriate actions.
On successful completion of a short answer test & a practical assessment in the workplace the delegate will receive an IOSH accredited certificate.
