This is an introductory level course aimed at individuals interested in fashion design and would like to develop their sewing skills and/or gain technical knowledge on sewing using various sewing machines.
Course Content:
- Getting to know the Machines and Utilization Practice (Straight stitch, Over locking, Covering Stitch)
- Sewing in Machines (Straight stitch, Over locking, Covering Stitch)
- Assembly Techniques
- Overcast stitch Techniques (Over locking, Blind Stitch, Facing Seam, Piping, Hemstitch)
- Standard Skirt Sewing in Original Pattern
- Dart Seam
- Simple Zipper Seam
- Belt Seam
- Intermediate and Final Presser Operations
